The Paterson Poetry Festival. This annual event is a celebration of words, writers and poetry lovers. The Festival was founded in 2018 and has been hosted ever since on the stairs of the Historic Passaic County Courthouse in downtown Paterson. 

This year, 2024, Word Seed Inc. is proud to host the inaugural Paterson Poetry Month which includes three Festival Days in addition to 20+ poetry events throughout October:

The festival will showcase the phenomenal poetry scene in Paterson with poets from, well, EVERYWHERE! The Paterson Poetry Festival is a great opportunity for aspiring and established poets to connect, collaborate, and share their work. Highlights of this year's event include:

Workshops: Learn from experienced poets and hone your craft with workshops on various poetry techniques and styles.

Open Mics: Take the stage and share your original poetry in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Slams: Compete against other poets in high-energy slam competitions for a chance to be crowned the champion.

Performances: Enjoy performances by nationally recognized poets who will inspire and captivate audiences.

The Paterson Poetry Festival/ Month will take place at various locations throughout the city, including the Paterson Free Public Library, the Charles M. Muth Museum at Hinchliffe Stadium, The Paterson Museum, and the Great Falls Amphitheater.
